Wonderful still clear evening, no breeze 120mm on the Gardiner water metre, 17 paddlers on the water this evening.  Tonight we invented a new race to Bullcreek and back, Race marshal Stuart Hyde told the paddlers the race was 5.6km however after the event it turned out to be 6.8km.  Needless to say the nomination times were some considerable way out. Winner of the night was Ken Ringrose who only got to within 2 minutes of his nominated time but still was the clear winner.
